Antique Roman glass bowl fragments were found in Balkh North Afghanistan; Roman glass bottles and bowls were used throughout the Roman empire, which included Afghanistan; iridescence is caused by the chemical decomposition of buried glass, and many of the glass discs display this lovely sheen; silk knotted cord; handmade silver toggles made by the hill tribes in Thailand. There are 12 examples, each one varies in its glass colouring but all of the necklaces have an over-all aquamarine colour. (length 48cm)
