Pretty Peridot, Pearl & Labradorite Pendant on Necklace of Teal Kyanite Ribs

SKU: 2229
    • Edgy and bold, this kyanite rib necklace creates a look that says,” I’m not afraid to be different.”

    • What is Kyanite?  Its most desirable colour is this streaky teal blue, which has a kind of glow and iridescence to it, and comes from titanium and iron. It is usually found in what are known as elongated blades, which these ribs are a small version of.

    • Each of these ribs (which vary in size, but the average piece is 1 ¼” (3 cm) long) has been separated by vintage, sterling silver beads made by the Navajo Indian tribes.

    • Two, carved leaves 1 ½”(3 ½ cm) are made of green aventurine.

    • But at the centre of the necklace, to offset the edgy image, hangs a sterling silver pendant 1 ¾” (4cm) L x ¾” (2 cm) W) set with peridot, baroque pearl, labradorite and prehnite.

    • I have added at the back of the necklace, hand knotted silk/polyester cord which makes the necklace lighter in weight and sets off the design.

    • A sterling silver, handmade toggle clasp, has been used because toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.

    • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.

    • The necklace measures 22” long (56 cm) with a 1 ¾” pendant drop (4 cm)
