- Subtle, quiet, and then bam, this double strand necklace of smokey quartz, faceted pebbles, is indeed the centre of attention. It doesn’t hit you in the face. It quietly asserts its chic presence. Each faceted brown ember of a nugget is individual, but approximately 25mm x 15mm.
- And just to give further punch to the drama, two large, deeply grooved, silver beads (23mm) are at the centre of the necklace. These are made by the Karen hill tribes in Thailand, using pure, 98% silver and crafting each bead individually.
- A brown vintage jade oval Bi disc, carved as a braided rope, hangs on tiny (3mm) Karen hill tribe beads. The jade is 2” (5cm) long and 1 ½” (4cm) wide and 14mm thick. The Bi disc is an emblem of harmony and longevity.
- A handmade, sterling silver toggle clasp, has been used because toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.
- The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.
- The necklace measures 17 inches long (43 cm) with 2 ½” pendant drop (6.5cm)
