Bountiful Basket of Flowers in Antique Chinese Metal Creates Textured Necklace

• This stunning antique (19th century) pendant in Chinese silver gilt metal, is of a woven basket filled with chrysanthemums.  The Chrysanthemums are held in high esteem in Chinese culture, representing resilience, optimism and good cheer. The pendant is both 3” long (7.5cm) and wide.  It is a light piece of metal.
• The necklace design consists of tan agate beads, 12mm, celadon jade cylinders, 11mm and antique Chinese silver gilt wire metal beads,14mm. The overall effect is calming, cool and slightly exotic.
• Fine Knotted silk/polyester grey cord using traditional Chinese flat and button knots has been used to lighten the necklace.
• A handmade sterling silver toggle clasp has been used because they are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.
• The necklace comes, like all my necklaces with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocade pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.
• The necklace measures 17” long, 44cm with a 2 ½” pendant drop,6.5 cm.
