Eternal Knot of Grey Jade, Amazonite & Silver on Silk Band
- For those who prefer grey with a pinch of colour, this necklace ticks the boxes.
- The vintage, almost translucent grey jade knot has been finely carved. The eternal knot is a Buddhist symbol for the thread that leads to harmony. This jade knot measures 1 ½” (3.5cm) on all sides and is 6mm deep.
- The spark of colour comes through a faceted amazonite bead (6mm) and a hand-blown swirl of glass (14mm), in a similar blue, made in China.
- The heavy silver bead (13mm) in between is made by the designer Dano and is deeply embossed and made partly of silver, partly of pewter.
- The elements hang on a handmade, charcoal grey, silk/polyester band.
- The band’s clasp consists of a jade bead which fits into one of two stretchable silk rings, enabling the wearer to vary the length. My silver label is attached at the ring.
- The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.
- The necklace measures 18” (46cm) around the band and with the clasp included, with a 3” (7.5cm) pendant drop.
